My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful all white Shepherd/Lab mix is a sweet boy that was dumped on a country road with a severe injury. When we found him he held one paw up and could not put any weight on his right front leg. We knew he need urgent medical care. He was at our Vet within 2 hours and it was determined after x-rays that he had a disarticulated elbow. Their experience was that it was not repairable. He deserved to live so the other option was to take off the leg. He stayed at the Vets on pain meds so they could work him in their surgery schedule.
The surgery was successful and he has been recovering at our rescue in a cabin run so he can be indoors/outdoors. He has done great and is now walking on a leash and loves to go! His stitches will be gone soon and he is ready to meet his forever family! His cabin run has a dog door and he is housebroken. He is very loving and will make a great family companion. He is neutered, heartworm negative and current on all vaccinations.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.

More about this shelter

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..
