Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Duke - COURTESY LISTING
COURTESY LISTING: Duke is not at the facility. Please contact iammrshorner@gmail.com if interested in adopting.
Duke is a 4-year-old border collie mix who is needing rehomed due to family circumstances and absolutely no fault of his own.
He is awesome with kids, walks well on a leash (with a little pulling) and loves giving and receiving affection.
From Duke's current owner:
He is a very well behaved dog.
He is a cuddler and he is a very loving dog. He gets along really well kids and babies and other humans.
He does not have separation anxiety -- only thing sometimes is thunder can scare him but we give him calm chews and they usually work and sometimes it doesn’t bother him.
He is okay on leash, he might pull here and there.
And he is great with kids. When we got him my son was 2 and we never had any issues.
He is up too date on his shots, due for his yearly and a new flea and tick collar or whatever treatment you decide later in April. I have all the papers from every vet visit. He turns 5 this October 25th.
He comes with his kennel, also his leash, bowls, and whatever food he has left.
When we leave or go to bed, we kennel him so I’m not sure how he’d do if left out. He’s crate trained.
He’s potty trained. If you have a yard with a back door if you show him it, he will go to it when he needs to go out, and if you don’t see him, he’ll bark 'like let me out' lol.
I’m not sure how he is around cats.
He would do better as the only dog. He only has gotten along with a handful of dogs.
He will beg when people are eating but if you tell him to stop and go away he will.
He comes to his name without any issues.
He’s been on this food since he was born. He does seem to have a sensitive tummy so he gets treats here and there but not all the time.
