Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet handsome Toby who showed up at a kind woman's back door... hungry and thin. She had him scanned for a chip, then posted him on multiple lost-n-found sites but no one came forward. It was determined he'd been abandoned when his previous family moved away... unfortunately, a common occurrence here, in Southern CA. But lucky for him to have found his way to a new life!
As you can see, by his adoption video, this boy is social and affectionate... even, perhaps, a tad on the needy side right now. We suspect that's because he's so relieved to be off the mean streets.
We're not, completely, certain how Toby is with all other cats. He wasn't getting along with the resident cats in his foster home. So, he'll probably do best as the only kitty... perhaps with someone who works from home or a retired couple. His foster mom says he's okay with dogs as long as they're not too aggressive.
Toby's adoption will include his:
* Neuter,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making Toby a permanent member of your household and will be keeping him safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
