Meet darling Ellie — the quiet queen of the Rescue Ranch with an active, playful side.
Ellie is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix beauty who has grown up in our care and is currently living at our Rescue Ranch. While she’s safe here, she truly deserves a foster or forever home where she can thrive both mentally and physically.
Ellie loves to exercise and play, especially when a ball is involved! She would do best in an active home that enjoys daily movement, outdoor time, and structured play—followed by peaceful downtime where she can relax and observe her world like the gentle soul she is.
She’s house trained, crate trained, and wonderfully polite. Though a bit shy at first, Ellie prefers to take her time building trust. Once she does, she becomes a deeply loyal companion with a heart as big as her beautiful Shepherd ears. Ellie is most confident around smaller dogs and does best with calm canine companions. Due to her energy level and play style, she would not be a good fit for a home with cats. Ellie enjoys children, but does best with older children.
Ellie would love an active home, with an individual or family that enjoys daily exercise, loves to play ball, and will take on walks. A home that will also allow her to warm up and adjust to her new environment at her own pace. If you are someone who appreciates a gentle, observant, active and loyal dog than Ellie could be your girl. Please consider opening your home to allow Ellie to experience the life she deserves.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
