The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats.
Please meet Kika. She is about 3 years old Belgian Malinois. Kika was born with issues in both her hips. After two years of surgeries and rehab, she developed an infection in her leg. Her leg was amputated but now she’s as happy as can be and ready for her forever home. She is a tripod but that does not stop her.
She is very active. She is good with other dogs. She likes to go for walks. She is great at events. She has been doing well in her foster home but now she is ready to found her forever home. She’s great with Kids and Dogs. She’s loves to meet new friends. She’s knows basic commands, uses a dog door and is potty trained.
Becoming a tri-paw had not slowed her down at all!
