My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remember Moira the mastiff who doesn’t know her size? Well, she’s somewhat ready to find her forever home. At her spay, we found out, to no one’s surprise, that she is heartworm positive. It’s sad, and annoying, but nothing she can’t get through. But we hate the thought this could delay her forever home. Moira is hoping maybe her forever people would want her now, and the rescue will cover all of her treatment still. It’s easy to do, especially with a dog like her. She takes meds (with treats, easy peasy). Then she gets shots at the vet. Then she spends some time kept calm. Which for her, is her standard M.O. She’s not contagious to other dogs either. Moira is a perfect dog. She’s laid back, sweet, gentle, cuddly. You just have to learn to deal with the fact she is a lap dog. She loves everyone, kids included. Gets along with all dogs and cats. Squirrels are another story but that’s forgiven. Potty trained, nondestructive. Practically perfect in every way. Which is why she will only move to a home that is planning on adopting her. She loves deeply, so her foster is more than happy to hold her for her treatment. But if her forever family just can’t wait any longer, why deprive them of all the love she has to share?
Moira is a 7 year old, 90lb mastiff mix. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee will be $175 when she’s completed her treatment.
