Sargasso (ID#23008) is a one-of-a-kind kitty with a huge amount of affection to give to any human who will allow it. He's a dedicated biscuit maker and will knead anyone willing to give him even a single pet. As a domestic long-hair kitty, he requires regular brushing and the occasional sanitary clip around his booty, but he's a good sport about it and doesn't resist too much. Other than that, he's about the most easy-going cat you could possibly imagine, and he'll stick by your side wherever you go. He's an expert at tripping people who don't give him enough attention, so if you consider this sweet boy for your home, make sure you're ready to keep an eye on your space as you walk! He doesn't mean anything by it though — just wants you to remember he's there and maybe hit him with a few noms if you have some to spare.
Sargasso is so affectionate that he's known to make "air biscuits," kneading the open air as he gazes at someone he hopes will continue petting him. He's a very vocal kitty at times and will slink around singing the song of his people, but again, some pets or treats will put him in a bliss state that quiets him right down. He loves to play, explore his home, look out windows, perch on cat trees, scratch on a scratching post, sleep in bed with his people and just generally be included in the action, but nothing makes him happier than direct attention and gentle brushing. And if you love to pet a kitty's belly, this guy is for you, because he's all about it! Sargasso is totally fine around other cats and dogs who respect his space, but he needs a home with lots of love and attention to give. Consider bringing this sweet boy into your family if you have the time to love up on him, and you'll never look back — this is one loyal lion!
Oh, and a bonus? His long fur and color pattern makes it look like he has pants on, which makes for no shortage of entertainment watching him wander around the house.
All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are:
Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125
Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100
Seniors (8+ years) = $80

If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.
