DARLA is a 2 – 3yr YOUNG female terrier, around 50lbs, spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, flea/tick free, and very well socialized with folks (adults and children) and most dogs. This gentle and loving (and OH SO SOFT) girl wants nothing more than to be a family companion in your life and will melt in your lap when you provide your loving touch to her. She was recently showcased during HEALTHY KIDS DAY at the YMCA in Troy and did wonderfully well, smiles and kisses the whole time. DARLA walks VERY WELL on leash, no pulling … and is HAPPY to be wherever you are spending your time….inside, outside, or taking a car ride. Ms. DARLA is always happy to share her appreciation for being with you - and would be a great model for a KISSING booth ;-) She has discovered a “favorite” toy (stuffed duck) and we’ve learned (from her foster mom) that DARLA will not share her yard with any squirrels, lol. DARLA has lived with other dogs of various ages, and various sizes, and does well with children. We do recommend children taller and stronger than any furry friend joining the family, so she would be best with children 8 and older. Fenced yard is required for all of our adoptable friends.
