My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tansy, abandoned in Watertown, is a young calico female born around mid 2020. She plays by herself with cat toys or interactive ones with you. Tansy is affectionate on her terms, accepts brushing, tolerates being picked up, and lets you place her in your lap. She is quiet except at mealtime. Tansy hasn't met kids and would be best with calm ones over age seven. She tolerates most dogs and cats and is shy of strangers. She needs a patient family willing to love her, helping her to feel safe and trusting so Tansy can blossom to be their sweet companion.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). Easier to do today than 1 -2 years later when you finally realize the need.
