Wow. I cannot believe I am doing this right now. I have spent the past several weeks giving everything I got to my puppies. It is crazy to think that here soon it will be my turn to be spoiled. Soon the attention will all be on me, and I will have found my forever family. I wonder what they will be like? I sure hope they give me lots of loving, yummy treats, and love me as much as I will them!

My name is Mother Liberty, and I came to PPFT with my 8 puppies. My former owner was not prepared to take on a mom and puppies and wanted us gone ASAP. He reached out to this rescue, and a few days later we ended up in an amazing and very loving foster home. I was so happy that I didn't have to worry about my surroundings and being outside only anymore. I was now inside and could focus on my puppies. Raising 8 puppies takes a lot of dedication...and ENERGY! Just ask my foster family, they are paws deep in doo doo, fluff, and lots of puppy kisses with me! Now that my puppies are getting older, I can finally start focusing on my wants and my needs...which feels odd.

I was an outside dog in my last home, so even then things were different. I had a family, but it didn't feel like I got to be part of a family. Do you know what I mean? I am excited about this new chapter in my life.

I love getting to be inside and part of the family, but I am also used to being out in the great outdoors. I love sunbathing and romping around the yard, so don't know if I would be a good candidate for apartment living. I have picked up on proper house manners from the other dogs and am potty trained. I have never been kenneled, and am given free roam of the house. I have not been a chewer in my foster home either. I have rarely barked in my foster home. I am on alert when I hear something that concerns me. When I do bark it is only a couple of deep barks.

I am on the calmer side at this time. Part of that is probably due to focusing all my time on the pups, but I also have times when I like playing with the other dogs. Things may change once my puppies have been adopted and I can focus on just me. If I were to guess though, my energy level is probably going to stay on the calmer side. I may just get a little more playful/interactive. I am unsure if I am a water dog or not. I never knew what toys were when I came to my foster home. I still haven't quite figured them out yet, but sometimes I may grab a bone and chew on it a little. I don't get the point of fetch, so that is probably one game you won't see me playing.

I never went anywhere in my past home. And I haven't been anywhere besides the vet in my foster home since being a mom to 8 puppies is a full-time job. I do really love being with my people, so think I would prefer going places with my people versus being home all alone. I am not an active dog so probably wouldn't be up for constant activity though. I had never been on a leash before coming to PPFT. I am not a fan of it, but have been making progress on a harness. Once I get the hang of it, I probably would enjoy walks. I am athletic enough for hikes, but once again am not a super active dog. So, we would have to figure out the distance that works best for me. If my family were home a lot, I think I would do well as a homebody. However, if they were into going places...I probably would be too. I just don't want to feel like I am being left out of things. I do well on car rides, so if my new family liked to travel..that should be a point in my direction!

I do well with other dogs and enjoy playing with them. I am not someone who wants to play all the time though. Just a light session here and there. I have been around dogs my whole life, and think I may panic if I were to be left all alone in my new home. I do think I would do best with at least one other doggie companion in my new home. If my new family were home all the time or were able to bring me everywhere with them...then I may do fine as an only dog. I am not being fostered around cats but did meet one at the vet. I gave it a quick sniff and was a bit curious but that was it. I have not been around any kids in my foster home. I am a very sweet girl so would probably do well with them as long as they were respectful of my space/boundaries.

Please I am begging you though, only apply to adopt me if you can keep me forever. If you can't keep me through ALL of life's changes, don't be the one that makes me have to be passed around a few months/years down the line. That just isn't fair to me.

I would NEVER give up on you, so please don't give up on me. I want to be your forever...not your until dog.

Adoption Fee: $250 Includes: Two rounds of the DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Fecal, Deworming, Heartworm Test, Micro-Chip, Spay, and she will be current heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

~Libbie is a very sweet and loving baby. She just wants you to love on her and know that she is loved. She is calm but working toward being playful with a calmer dog and perhaps after her motherhood duties and her energies are fully restored she will be more active and engaging. She has very strong paws and loves to sit on her bottom and wrap her arms around you or grab you with her pyr paws. She loves to cuddle and would be a perfect cuddle buddy for someone who would give her time and attention!

Libbie is just starting to come out of her motherhood shell. So it is hard to say right now exactly what would be her ideal home....she recently started to interact with Tacoda(our dog) when Tacoda would initiate it but now she is starting to initiate play. So perhaps a calmer dog in the house would be a good fit for her, at least at this point. If left alone by herself, we think she would be really lonely and sad. She is very sweet to all, and would probably do well with children but she does have a strong pyr paw.~
