If you’re wondering why such an adorable little dog like Snoopy Cool has been on our website so long, the truth is because he’s not a dachshund. DREAM is a breed specific Dachshund and Dachshund Mix Rescue. Most people coming to DREAM looking for their next furry loved one want either a straight up sausage or a sausage dog mix. Snoopy was surrendered along with a very old pure bred female dachshund that was adopted months ago. They both needed rescue and we just didn’t have the heart to leave Snoopy behind. And just like that, Snoopy joined the DREAM pack and became an honorary dachshund.
Snoopy is not a dachshund, or even a dachshund mix, but he is a fantastic, cute, well behaved little dog with ZERO known health issues. He loves loves loves a nice long leash walk with his person. Snoopy is potty trained and gets along great with other dogs and people. He prefers adults only and would do best in a family without young children. He adores his person and wants to be wherever you are.
For all you people out there that don’t have to have straight up sausage, I’m telling you Snoopy Cool would love to call you his own. He’s SO ready to find his forever family and will not disappoint them. He’s really a great dog. If he were with an all-breed rescue he would have been snatched up months ago, so don’t pass up this sweet adorable boy just because he’s not a dachshund but he is a dachshund at heart!

All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Snoopy Cool will go to his / her new home microchipped, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccinations, and with all other medical needs addressed. Almost every dog's veterinary expenses exceed our adoption fees; we are a non-profit.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group. We focus on the metro Atlanta area and can assist throughout the state of Georgia.
Since our rescue is entirely run and staffed by volunteers, our ability to travel long distances for adoptions is somewhat limited. We focus on Georgia, but if you are in a neighboring state, we might be able to work something out - we'll expect you to do your part.
DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
