My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Banksy is such a sweet boy. He`s eager to please and loves to be pet. He`ll happily zoom around to amuse himself when left to his own devices, but he`ll settle right down next to your side for as long as you`ll pet him. He loves attention. He`s so friendly and loves everyone! He’s done well around children, even gotten along well with other dogs. He love attending in shelter playgroups and has proven that he’s great at reading other dogs’ social cues. If they want him to take it easy he will, but if they want him to play rough and rowdy he can do that too!

We`re not sure what his life was like before he came into the shelter as a stray on 5/3/23, but based on the fact that he`s missing the top of his right ear we can only assume it was rough. We`re determined to find him a home where he`ll be surrounded by love and he can forget about any hard times.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.

We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
