Artemis was rescued from a homeless encampment when he was about one year old, along with his brothers and parents. He was born outside and socialized by a homeless woman, whom the cats slept with, in her tent. Like many cats, Artemis can be a bit shy with new people and places, but once he's comfortable he's super sweet and loves pets and attention. Artemis has a beautiful tuxedo coat with medium to long hair and he has longer hair in his ears like a Maine Coon. His dad is a Maine Coon Mix and mom is a petite black kitty. Artemis loves to play with other cats and would enjoy another cat to live with, or a human who's home a good amount of the time. He likes companionship and talks a lot. Artemis would probably do well with dogs or other animals as well. He's a sweet boy and would be a great addition to someone's home. Artemis did have urinary crystals in the past and is on a special diet to prevent them, so he would need to stay on this diet or a similar one to prevent a urinary blockage. Someone who's familiar with this issue would be ideal. Otherwise, Artemis is a healthy, affectionate, happy boy who's neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
Artemis is being cared for by a member of the community. To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, email us at courtesy@thedancingcat.org.
