My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petunia was born in August 2020 and weighs about 45 pounds.  This Boxer/Heeler cross, with her brown body and spotted white feet, is so pretty you'll want to smile just like she does. This happy, playful girl is full of love. She is always eager to accompany you an all your adventures. Petunia welcomes you home with enthusiasm and lets you know how glad she is to see you return. She is also content to just hang out and be petted. Petunia gets along with many dogs, and has made great friends with several. She has a best friend who runs and plays with her, splashing in the doggy pool and running around the yard. Petunia's main focus is on people. She will make a wonderful companion or family pet where she can get the love, attention and play she craves.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
