My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Queso is an extremely fearful kitty. He is in the shy cat room at the refuge and often hides outside in the igloo. We don't know what he has been through since he was a stray, but he needs an extremely patient person and a quiet home to have time to start to trust people.

Queso is one of our FIV+ kitties and while there is no cure for FIV, with proper veterinary care, cats can live normal lives for prolonged periods of time. Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats.The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
