Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Possum! This special boy needs a foster or foster to adopt home!
🐾 Crate trained
🐾 House trained
🐾Walks well on leash
🐾 Loves toys
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Cat friendly
🐾 40 pounds
🐾 2-3 years old
🐾 Affectionate and loving with his trusted people
Unfortunately, Possum is heartworm positive. His heartworm treatment will be provided through and paid for by the rescue. He will be neutered once he is medically cleared after his heartworm treatment.
Possum is very shy with new people and situations, He is a friendly dog but becomes anxious with higher activity environments. He needs a quiet, low-key home without young children or frequent visitors, etc. His preferred home would be adult only, minimal activity with another dog or two. The rescue also has a trainer ready and available to help with introductions and to work on his stranger danger. Preferred homes within 30-45 minutes of Afton, Virginia.
