Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nala is a 4yo, 35 lbs, mystery mutt*. She has a strong resemblance to Scrat from Ice Age. She is smart and eager to please. She is medium energy, content to snooze in the sun and watch out the window during the day, but she is ALWAYS up for a walk. Nala is undergoing heartworm treatment (slow kill method). After her treatment we think she’d make an excellent running partner!
Nala is friendly to people of all ages, including children. Nala is house trained and crate trained.
Nala lives peacefully with two other dogs whom she 100% ignores. Nala could live with other dogs if given proper introduction, or she’d be happy as an only dog.
Nala has a high prey drive, so while she can keep your yard free of squirrels and birds, she cannot live with cats.
Nala was rescued from a difficult situation, so she is still working on feeling confident outside of her home. She can bark at other dogs while on walks. She is working hard on this and has made great strides. East CAN will provide training assistance to help with a smooth transition. She would thrive in a home with a privacy fence and/or an area with a little breathing room from other animals while on walks. She would not do well in an apartment.
Nala loves to chew on bones and hang out with her people. She is learning how to play and her newest favorite game is tug-o-war.
Nala is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Her heartworm treatment is monthly doses of Advantage Multi. Treatment will go through November. East CAN will cover costs of treatment and retesting. This little girl deserves a happy home.
