My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bonnie Marie & Myla May are a beautiful pair of best friends who were surrendered by their owner on March 21, 2023 because she was no longer in a position to give them the care and love that they needed and deserved.

Bonnie (on the left) is a 2-1/2 year old female Pit Bull Terrier mix. She has a brown/brindle-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable 'phantom-of-the-opera' face with brindle markings on the right-hand side of her face, a milk chocolate nose, and short semi-erect ears. Bonnie weighs 46.6 lbs.

Myla (on the right) is a 4-year old female Hound/Labrador Retriever mix, She has a black-and-white short smooth coat with a wavy texture, black ticking/freckles on her chest/legs, a long black tail with a white tip on the end, and a beautiful face with copper-colored eyes, a black button nose, and large floppy ears which frame her face. Myla weighs 53 lbs.

Their owner told us that Bonnie & Myla were good with children and also with other animals. We don't know if that includes cats as well as dogs since that was not specified.

The girls have been kept indoors and is housebroken.

These photos were taken shortly after Bonnie & Myla's arrival and, since they didn't want to be separated, our HSOV Kennel Manager Rachal Merrow and our HSOV Assistant Manager Kati Rankin teamed up to take the girls out as a pair for their photo sessions.

Both girls have happy, outgoing personalities.

Bonnie & Myla will be spayed before being adopted by their new family. These girls are very attached to each other, so we feel that it would be in their best interest to find another home together.

Our volunteers have learned that Bonnie is an accomplished ball player when she and Myla are in our play yards (together of course) .. And Myla is the self-appointed cheerleader since she is content to relax and watch Bonnie play ball.

Bonnie Marie and Myla May are also posted separately on Petfinder/Adoptapet/Facebook with several individual pictures.

UPDATE: Myla May has already been spayed sometime in the past.

Bonnie Marie was spayed on June 22, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.
