My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Treetop is the sweetest girl in the world and is perfect for any home. Everyone falls in love with her when they meet her. She’s a goofy girl and makes me laugh everyday. I have a cat and often take her to the dog park. She gets along great with cats, dogs, children, and everyone in between. She does great riding in the car with me. She also does well staying in her kennel at night. She is super smart and learns commands quickly. She already knows how to sit, stay, heel, and recall. She is also perfect on a leash. Even though she is a bit older, she still has that puppy personality in her. She is a Velcro dog and loves lots of attention. But, she is also good at entertaining herself while I’m working from home. She doesn’t bark and is always very gentle. She does counter surf, jump on people, and gets into my shoes or cat poop. But, she is very good at listening to commands and stopping what she’s doing. She’s just a Top dog.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
