My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cane is a 100% good boy! He is just under a year old and weighs 85 lbs and loves to play. He is searching for a best dog friend and a yard of his very own to hang out with his family! He is fully crate and potty trained, he even knows how to use a doggy door. He's good with other dogs and does well with kids. Since he's still young he gets excited for new people and things and LOVES playing! He lives in a house with cats and although sometimes likes to bark at them he's respectful of their place in the home.

Due to this size and young dog energy Cane would do best in a house with children over the age of 6. He does require a yard to run and play and therefore won't be a great dog for an apartment. He would love a doggy companion to run and snuggle with and loves the other dog in his foster home. You have to see Cane to fully appreciate his beautiful brindle coat.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
