We are slowly making progress and Oakley is finally accepting her foster mom quite well. I'm able to pet her head and she actually comes back for more pets. Slowly I'm gaining her trust. It's wonderful to see the fear has left her eyes.
Oakley is about a year and a half old and weighs about 32 pounds, medium size.
Oakley has been on an adventure at the dog house. She’s been in boarding for two months after her hip orthopedic surgery. It takes awhile to gain her trust but so very happy she’s making eye contact with me. I told her today that I wished she could speak English and tell me everything that was on her mind. I’ll patiently waiting for a reply. Right now we are just chilling and learning one another.
She’s been fully vetted, spayed. Her second set of X-rays have been sent to Dr Parker for review. Doing well for two plates in her pelvic and broken leg.

Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification.

Save1Pet, Inc., formed in 2004 in Olive Branch MS, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit and is a support organization to assist the local animal shelters with increasing adoptions and public awareness regarding the responsibilities of caring for domestic animals.
