Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Jodi – a thoughtful, independent Amazon with a gentle voice and a big heart waiting to be earned.
At over 30 years old, Jodi has seen a lot—and while her life experience has made her cautious around people, she’s been making quiet but steady progress in foster care. She’s not looking for cuddles or constant attention; what she really wants is a calm, understanding home where she can just be—on her terms, at her pace.
Jodi enjoys simple pleasures: a good mist bath, ringing her bell, singing a little tune, or chewing on her favorite wood toys. She’ll step up onto a rope ring, and while hands are still a no-go, she’s learning that not all people are scary—especially if they come bearing apple slices or almonds. She’s also a fan of quiet background noise, especially the TV, and has been known to drop a “pretty bird” or “hello” when she’s feeling particularly relaxed.
She’s on a healthy diet of Roudybush pellets, loves her veggies (carrots and celery are hits), and has an adorable two-tone whistle that pops up now and then.
Jodi will do best in a peaceful, patient home with large-bird experience—ideally someone who understands that connection takes time and that love can look like quiet companionship instead of constant interaction. She’s not suited for homes with shared walls, but if you’ve got the space, experience, and a soft spot for birds with stories, Jodi may just be your match.
Adoption Fee: $200
