Arrival story: Cobi lived as an outdoor/basement dog in his previous life. We found him at the River Rouge Shelter waiting for his second chance.

Approximate age / Weight: 3 years old and 85 lbs.

Personality: Cobi is just a big lug who wants to be near his humans. He enjoys a good snuggle and nap as much as he likes some sunny patio time. Cobi thrives on routine and adapted to living in his foster home easily. Cobi needs space and patience when introduced to new folks, particularly men. He just needs to know that a guy is trustworthy. He absolutely adores his foster dad.

Cobi is up for car rides and doesn’t mind trips to the vet. Loves treats and is learning the basics in foster care. Doesn't pull on leash but zig-zags a bit to get to sniffs.
New Home: Cobi could fit into many home situations. He really just wants someone to love.

ADOPTION INFO:

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved.

Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog.

ADOPTION FEE
Adult Dogs (over 6 months of age) $250 + $50 refundable Training deposit, if applicable.
Puppies (under 6 months) $250 + $50 refundable Spay/Neuter deposit + $50 refundable Training deposit.
Senior Dogs $125 +$50 refundable Training deposit, if applicable.
**Please note: We encourage all newly adopted dogs to attend basic training (positive reinforcement) class with their adopters as it starts everyone off the right way and helps to build a trusting bond between dog and adopter. In most cases, this will be a requirement and a $50 refundable Training deposit fee will be applied to adoption and refundable upon proof of class completion.
