BOBO DEL REY and 12 other relatives of his were all dumped at a church in Whittier, California. These poor babies were left in the sun in a total of two carriers in front of a church. Needless to say, the rescue mama set course that day to pick them up. It took us 2 days to get them all to the rescue and to foster care.
So BOBO DEL REY (named after the show: WYNONNA EARP) we believe was kept very well by whomever abandoned them. With all the tragedy that has happened to this young boy and his family, he deserves to have a wonderful home. He is now been living a nice pampered life. But let him tell you all about himself!
Hello, I'm BOBO DEL REY. I'm a bundle of paradoxes. I can be shy, but I'm brave when it counts. I'm independent, yet I love a good cuddle. I'm mellow, but my goofy antics will make you laugh. I'm curious about the world around me, always ready to explore. I'm sassy, feisty, and have a playful streak.
My intelligence is undeniable, I'm a quick learner and I love to play games that challenge me. Despite my diverse range of traits, I'm a simple cat at heart. I just want a home where I can be myself, a place where my unique personality can shine. Adopt me, and I promise to keep you entertained, comforted, and loved.
BOBO DEL REY is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / EGYPTIAN MAU-TABBY MIX. He is 19 months old and is good with cats. He has never been around young children. But he does seem very curious about dogs. Look at his video!

2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home
********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********
APRIL 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.
******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************
The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!
