Cherokee is a 15.9 lb 3 month old male beagle mix. He is a very chill puppy who is confident in himself. He is mostly housebroken and crate trained, always happy, LOVES his food and also loves to snuggle and get lots of belly rubs! He is very sweet and smart, playful and curious, does very well with taking direction from the older dogs in his foster home. He also knows sit and NO. He is current on age-appropriate vaccines. He will not be a huge guy full-grown, maybe 40 pounds. He's going to make a great addition to your family, get your application in now before he's the one-that-got-away! Such a loveable pup!
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
