Vanilla has been on medical hold as we tried to find out exactly why she was feeling unwell. After extensive bloodwork, tests and a complete ultrasound, our sweet pup has been diagnosed with renal disease. She has not been lucky in the genetic pool and was left with this devastating disease at a very young age. We do not know how long Vanilla has left but, what we do know, is that whatever time she has on this earth, she should be able to live it with someone she can love, trust and who will take care of her. She is currently on special renal food, renal supplement powder and medication.

You would never know Vanilla is ill as we because she is a typical puppy and living her life to the fullest and this makes us extremely proud.

Vanilla is a loving, intelligent, and gentle should who quickly adapts to new environments and people. Her desire to please and learn makes her an exceptional companion. She loves company, affection and cuddling. If you are looking for a lap dog, Vanilla is your girl!

Vanilla does need training as she is still young. She definitely needs helps with her jumping and her wanting to hug everyone she meets. She also needs work on her leash training. She can be excitable while on walks and we know that she can attain all these goals when she gets the training she requires. She is food motivated and extremely start and that will definitely help with her training.

Vanilla is fully house trained and crate trained. She loves to go for walks and loves to play with toys. She is well behaved with her known people and is very good at following commands with new people as well.

Vanilla’s ideal home would be one with a fully fenced back yard where she could spend time in the outdoors which she truly loves, She needs a patient owner who can help socialize her with other safe, friendly dogs and work with her to improve her leash skills. We believe Vanilla could be with another dog and a cat with proper introductions. Children 6+ would be best due to her jumping. She would love to go on long walks, and adventures with her new family and someone who has medium energy would be perfect for her.

Vanilla is an affectionate, intelligent and very eager to please. She would be a great companion for anyone who is willing to take the time to get her to be the best she could be. We do not want Vanilla to spend her final time without her very own person, and we know there is someone out there just for her who is willing to give their heart and love to this beautiful creature.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Vanilla, please fill out an adoption application at www.allpawsmatter.ca

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
