Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Elroy, an adorable 2-year-old, 55 lb. shar-pei/pit mix. He was brought in to the shelter last winter with multiple wounds and bite marks so we believe he was attacked by something, or abused, while out on the streets. He was adopted in December but now the owners want to return him due to the fact that he jumps and mouths when he's excited, which are definitely trainable, but they don't want to put the time in. This sweet boy can't understand why people keep giving up on him...he needs a true furever home.
Elroy is the best of boys! He is a big lover and has such a sweet demeanor - he's loyal, affectionate, friendly, craves human attention, and will happily accept all the pets and love you have to offer. Elroy is a relaxed guy with a silly side. He likes romping around the yard, tug-of-war, and playing with his toys. Elroy enjoys his walks and daily visits to the dog park to play with friends. He has lived with other pups, cats, and older kids and does great with everyone he meets. Due to his size and exuberance, we don't suggest a home with young children.
He's a very good boy - Elroy walks well on leash, knows "sit" and is house/crate trained. He has also graduated from basic obedience training. Elroy is eager to learn, redirects well, and is very food motivated. He must go to a home with a fenced yard and will make a wonderful addition to any home!
His adoption fee is $375 and Elroy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in this beautiful boy, please complete our online application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.
