No sad days with Sadie!
Hey everyone! My name is Sadie, and since I have a bunch of namesakes here, let’s call me Sadie the Boxer, or Sadie 3. I am a 4 year old, 63 lb spayed female Boxer mix. My previous family lost their housing and had to give me up, so here I am at my foster home, waiting to find my new family! I am the full package - potty trained, crate trained, and love having new people come over. I’m generally well behaved on walks. Sometimes if I see dogs on leash, I will pull towards them, but I have been working hard on this and with just a little guidance I walk right on by! I enjoy walks on trails, at the beach, and around the neighborhood. Let's have an adventure together!
I am a sweet and goofy gal, and am great at matching my energy to yours. Want to go on a jog? I’m up for it! Need to skip walks entirely today? That’s fine, as long as we get to cuddle instead! My boxer energy comes out with a few bouts of goofy play a day, but I mostly enjoy lounging about. I am a true lap dog, regardless of my size. I love snuggling up to my foster parents and falling asleep tucked against their side or with my chin on their leg. Sometimes I even crawl under the blankets at night. At the same time, I’m not overly clingy and can hang out alone without an issue. I do well with all sorts of human guests coming over; I love a good party! I’m generally uncomfortable around other dogs in the home and would do best as the only pup. I don’t have experience with cats or kids yet.
I would do well in a wide variety of home set ups. While I do love a good sunbathing session in the yard, I don’t need a yard; as long as I get a couple walks to get out and sniff I am happy. I promise to keep you laughing with my goofy antics, and you’ll never be without a cuddle buddy as long as I’m around. My behavior on leash has greatly improved since I first went to foster, so it would be great if my forever family continues to reinforce calm behavior around other dogs. My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.
