To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. Ok...with that being said...we are so excited for Ezra to find his happily ever after! This oh so squishy and lovable boy came from a large shelter where he was transferred in from yet another far off place. Now, that is a little confusing for anyone and this little country boy sure did not know what to think! All the city sounds seemed to stress him out, and despite all the reassurance of the kind staff, Ezra was just to nervous in that environment.
Well, welcome to the land of cornfields, little fella! He is now being fostered in a rural situation and he is loving it. Ezra settled in asap, he has made new friends and has is the wiggly, silly and loving puppy that you could hope for. And, he is one smart cookie. He has been with us for a bit so has perfected his housebreaking skills, such a smart boy! We have been having such a great time with Ezra. He is WONDERFUL on a leash and loves to explore the forest preserve, he will be a great hiking partner, he is also very friendly and does well meeting new people and dogs.
Ezra is one little guy that loves him some belly rubs, he is happy being outside playing with his dog buddies, chasing a ball or a stick, he is just as happy. His breed(s) are a guess. We use an app, put in his pics and English Pointer and American Bulldog came up. WE figured there must be some hunting breed gene in there, he follows his nose everywhere, he tracked a turtle today. He has the beefy body of a bulldog and a little thicker coat, of who knows, a lab?
Ezra loves everyone, he was anxious at the shelter, but has put that behind him. Perhaps small children will not be the best with him, he could knock them over. He is just 6 months old and close to 40 pounds, so he will be a decent sized dog. He is looking for an active family, another playful dog would be perfect, a fenced yard is a huge plus. He is a working breed, so no long hours alone. What a terrific adventure partner he will be!! His adoption fee is $250, and he will go home with plenty of supplies to help him settle into his new home. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
