Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This mischievous looking furball is Broccoli! He just turned one year old and decided that he has no plans to be a tomcat because he enjoys sitting on laps and getting petted so much. Broccoli started out as a street cat in Amman, Jordan but quickly distinguished himself from his peers by how friendly he was. While he was still a young adult Broccoli had the misfortune to be hit by a car which broke one of his front legs. Luckily, his current foster immediately noticed Broccoli’s condition and whisked him off to the vet.
After having a metal plate surgically implanted to support his front paw, he spent several months recovering from his injury. During that time Broccoli’s temperament was so good that he was featured in a short video for the veterinary office where he was being treated. A true kitty cat reality star! Due to the length of time Broccoli spent at the vet healing, his foster decided it wouldn’t be fair to release him back on the streets after all he had been through. Since then this critter has been enjoying the good life as a housecat in his foster’s small, one bedroom apartment with several other foster cat friends. While this is much, much better than the life he lived on the streets it is a far cry from the furever home that his foster wants for him.
Broccoli is extremely affectionate to the point of being clingy. His foster often jokes that a better name for him might have been “Velcro” or “Trip Hazard” because of how close he wants to be at all times. He loves making biscuits and will often start kneading his paws as soon as someone looks in his direction. He recognizes his name and gives a quiet meow or chirp when he’s called. If he’s not snuggled up with his foster he’s racing around the apartment after his toys as if he never had a broken paw in the first place.
It is very rare that a cat born on the streets of Jordan has a personality as friendly and loving as Broccoli’s. It’s even more rare for one to survive being hit by a car and rescued. Broccoli’s foster is convinced that God has a plan for this gentle, loving cat, and he’s making every effort, and putting forth the expense to find him a furever home in the United States where he can spend the rest of his days with a family that loves him. Are you that family?
