For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlie is a megachonker. At 26.5 pounds, he wasn't enjoy playing since his back hurts. He wasn't happy with his weight because he was too big to bathe himself properly. He is currently healthy, but he knows that, just like in humans, extra weight can cause serious health problems like diabetes or heart disease.
Being nine, Charlies decided to turn his life around so that he becomes buff, sassy, and active like other middle-aged cats. Charlie has lost over 5 lbs in the last 5 months and now tips the scales at 21 lbs. He wants a personal trainer to help him continue his fitness program. Requirements include being serious about a cat diet, exercise, and understanding that obese cats need to lose weight slowly, under veterinary care, to avoid liver disease. He wants a human that will make him have a better life, so Charlie can make their life better. He accepts that this means “tough love”, especially when he’s really, REALLY hungry.
Charlie is front declawed and social. He loves to be brushed. He just doesn’t feel much like catting because he’s so heavy. Can you help him achieve his fitness goals and be the cat he knows he can be? Charlie was born in 2014.
