Rico is ready and waiting for his forever home! Rico is a Dachshund who is about 9 years old, playful, a snuggler and doesn't mind cats.
He would thrive in a home with adults or older children who will understand his need for quiet time and not rush him to engage. He can be timid in new environments but does enjoy meeting new people. He does like to play with his people or other canine housemates, enjoys snuggles and belly rubs and likes to just be held close.
Rico does get overwhelmed when a lot is going on around him and will take himself to a quiet place like his crate or other place that has been set aside for him like a doggo chair or bed away from the activity. He also is very scared of storms and will hide anywhere he can get until he feels safe enough to come out. He is Crate Trained to an extent, he does bark crated.
