Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marie is a delightful, five-year-old Doberman mix. She found herself on the euthanasia list at the county shelter due to a chronic upper respiratory infection. Home Fur Good fell in love with Marie’s pleasant personality and decided to help her on the journey to getting healthy. It took a while; Marie had pneumonia and required a round of prednisone to get herself tip top. She came to HFG weighing only 38 pounds; it is hard to have an appetite when all your time is spent coughing and feeling like poo. Marie loves to make new friends and will wiggle her way into receiving as much attention as she can get. Marie has met quite a few other dogs and seems to be social with them. She does prefer if they are more on the calm side, vs a wild-child. Please bring your dog from home in for an intro and we can help you see if it's a love match. If you are looking for a darling and amusing new bestie, come down to meet Marie. The adoption fee for Marie is $300, which is higher than it would be under our normal fee schedule. That is because she is one of our Guardian Angel dogs. Guardian Angel dogs are highly desirable adoptees, and their increased fees are used expressly to help defray costs for our rescues with special needs such as advanced medical treatment or training for behavioral issues, or for those who are with us for unusually long periods of time. In this way the Guardian Angels directly help our other rescues! All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.
