“Find a penny, pick it up. All day long you’ll have good luck.” Our Penny girl has been waiting for someone to pick her up since 5/23/23. And since she’s always heads up she’s EXTRA lucky. She’s bound to bring you more than just a day’s worth of luck. Penny is a social butterfly. She loves to spend time with people. Whether you want to play or just relax and pet her – she can happily do either. She’s always such a happy girl who does her best to put a smile on the face of everyone she meets. She’s smart too! She’s mastered the command sit and will happily do so for a treat. She also loves to zoom around in our play yards and get rid of some energy.

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 5 pm to 7 pm. We are also open on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
