Meet Sonny, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me Kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Sonny is a Black Lab Mix, he’s about one year of age, he weighs 47 pounds, and he has a beautiful, shiny, short haired coat. Sonny is really friendly and he loves meeting new people. He takes his treats nicely and he enjoys playing with Diego, our young, energetic Akita/Chow(?) mix. Sonny has just been neutered, he tested negative for heart worm disease, he’s been recently vaccinated, and he is on monthly prevention for both heart worms disease and for fleas and ticks. Sonny walks nicely on leash and he enjoys playing with his toys. I would be confident about Sonny living in a home with children as long as they are supervised if under about six years of age. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
