This tiger-striped low rider is a bundle of fun! He may be a little reserved at first, but once he warms up to you, he is very friendly and wants all the love...seriously, all the love - kisses, hugs, cuddles, the works!
So, stop what you're doing right now, and come pick up this lovable hunk today! Eragon came to the shelter as a stray, so we do not have any background on him. What we do know is he loves balls, enjoys spending time outdoors, dog selective, does not show well in his kennel but is friendly upon getting him out and would love a chance at a loving family of his own.
He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider him one of our Lonely Hearts which makes his adoption fee only $20
Here is what our amazing volunteers have had to say recently during an outing with Eragon: "How much would you pay for a gorgeous dog with impeccable manners? How about $20? With his rugged good looks, we thought Eragon might enjoy romping with the rowdy crowd in the play park. Nah, he politely watched from the sidelines and asked if any sweet ladies might appreciate an escort for a walk in the woods. We set him up on a hiking date with a beagle & he was the perfect gentleman. Eragon knows human etiquette also - he offers hugs & kisses but only if people want them. This brindle low rider is all ready to be your new best friend!"
"Eragon was quiet in the kennel in Diana's car. He was initially unsure of the ramp but followed a treat lure easily. He was cool with Lucy's (beagle) presence but didn't initiate any play. He mostly just sniffed along the path. He didn't jump up at all. Pulled a little on leash but not much. He was interested in a person with dogs walking past but just watched them (we were off the trail to the side). Gave the sweetest little polite kisses, enjoyed butt scratches. Lovely dog!" The FSPCA requires an adopters questionnaire to be filled out and, if approved, the adopters must then sign a contract. The questionnaire can be found online at www.fspca.org. All fees include age-appropriate shots, microchip through Home Again, and spay/neuter.
