Hey there, potential best friend! My name's PJ, and I'm on the hunt for my forever home.

Here's the scoop on me: I'm a bundle of happiness just waiting to shower someone with love. Once I've gotten over my initial excitement (which, let's be honest, is pretty hard to contain), I'll stick to you like glue. I've had some fun play dates with other dogs, and let me tell you, I'm the life of the party. I'm still learning to read social cues from my furry friends, though. Sometimes I get a little too carried away with the playtime! I would love to have another social dog in my forever home to continue to learn manners and play with. Having another dog gives me confidence and could be a good role model for me.

I know I need to work on building confidence and trust, so a family with some dog experience would be a good fit for me. I prefer a home on the quiet side with less new people coming in and out. But I’m learning that the world is actually a safe and wonderful place and when my humans are patient, I can do better at welcoming new strangers and giving them a chance to give me pets. It would be best if there are not young children in my forever home, because sometimes I can’t help myself and start to herd my people and this can be awkward if you don’t know what I’m up to. So if there are children in the home, the preference would be older, dog-saavy kids.  

Want to know what I love the most? Playing fetch! Seriously, it's my favorite thing in the world. Well, that and maybe some tasty bones and Kongs.

I'm still a young pup, so there are a few things I'm still working on. But hey, isn't life all about learning and growing? I'm crate-trained and know a bunch of commands like sit, down, come, and more. And while I'm still mastering the art of leash-walking, I'm getting better every day. So, a fenced yard isn't a must as long as you're up for some daily adventures with me!

I can't wait to meet my forever family and embark on all sorts of fun adventures together. Whether it's playing fetch in the backyard or snuggling up on the couch, I'm ready to be your loyal companion through it all. So, what do you say? Ready to make me a part of your pack?

**Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters.  Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter.  Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society.   Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized.  If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work!

ADOPTION EVENTS:     

Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.

ADOPTION PROCEDURE:

FOSTER CARE:

All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.

NUTRITION:

Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
