My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella was rescued from a faraway animal shelter, but her story touched us. She had belonged to a man who was a renter and Dobermans were a prohibited breed, but Stella was his service dog, so she was permitted to live there with him. Then his permit expired, and when he requested a new authorization from his doctor, it was denied. The doctor said that was because the man's condition had improved. So Stella was left at the animal shelter, grieving for her owner. She is a solidly-built, 73-pound dog that is 3 1/2 years old. Though she's living compatibly with a very mellow large male dog, she guards her territory fiercely from other dogs that approach and would likely be an excellent watchdog for unwanted human intruders as well.
