Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Muffin, our 10 year old cattle dog, came to us with that name. She was found stray and quickly became a shelter staff favorite. So, when they reached out to us for help with her teeth, we happily took her in. It didn't take long to see why the shelter named her Muffin! Like her name sake, she's sweet, easy, and perfect for a lazy Sunday morning.
Since we've had Muffin, we addressed her teeth and we've been working on her weight. She's still about 15 pounds over her ideal, but she's getting there with walks and monitoring her food.
Muffin is great with other dogs. She's even good with meeting dogs while on leash. She is gentle and has been good with the kids she's met. Muffin does not seem to like cats, and needs to have a home without them. She's potty trained and quiet and can be trusted to be left alone.
Besides stuffed toys, Muffin's favorite things are her people. She is very loyal, a bit of a velcro dog, and lives for scratches and cuddles. Muffin is good in the car and will happily go along on trips to the coast or summer camping. One of Muffin's only bad habits is she guards human food from her dog foster siblings (being on a diet is hard you guys) but she does not guard her dog food and will politely share her toys.
Muffin has had normal senior blood work, is heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on her flea and heartworm preventatives.
Muffin started off as a shelter favorite, but quickly became a Stumptown favorite. We're sure she'll be someone's favorite new dog next. Is it you? Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org
