My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bunny is 3yo, weighs 28lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  Bunny and her feline brother, Pinball, are best friends; they play and cuddle each other and love to go for car rides together.  "Bunny is a very sweet dog!  She loves to cuddle with her brother and play tug and chew bones.  She loves peanut butter and nylabones and squishmallows.  During the winter she likes to curl up next to the heater and burrow under the blankets, and in the summer she likes to lay out in the sun and play in the grass.  She loves to say hi to all our neighbors and she LOVES kids.  She is fully grown at 28lbs.... and a fan favorite at the vet too.  All she needs is a lick mat with some cheese!  She knows basic commands but she is terrible on the leash and has not yet learned recall.  She is very food motivated but she is also very stubborn and has been difficult to train.  She dislikes and/or fears men, dogs, plastic bags, bikes, clickers, squeaky toys, baths, the vacuum, thunderstorms, and being left alone longer than 1 hour."

Bunny's guardian states the reason she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:

"Behavioral issues related to very bad reactivity and dog aggression, as well as a bad habit of peeing and pooping in her crate. I was not aware of this when I adopted her and if I had been I would not have adopted her. She could get better with dog training but we have seen multiple dog trainers, who all say the same thing. That it will take a very long time and a lot of money which I do not have."

LUNGE INCIDENT:  "T here has only been one incident of note which I can report where she lunged at a dog who came up to her off leash, and attempted to pin it. I was able to quickly separate them and the entire incident lasted less than 5 seconds. It is a neighbors dog and we decided not to report it as it was very minor and there was no injury to either dog.   Other than this, she has not attacked a dog. She is very reactive on the leash and will bark and lunge at dogs we pass.   This is the only incident of note. She was on the leash when it happened, and it was an off leash dog that came up to her that she lunged at, and the owner and I chose not to report it.  S he does not have a bite record and she has never shown aggression off the leash."

Bunny's guardian offers a brief medical history:  "She has minor skin and food allergies" and is fed Acana single ingredient dry dog food beef and pumpkin.

Bunny's guardian states the following regarding children:  Bunny doesn't live with children, but her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "She LOVES kids.  Anytime we see kids on our walk she goes crazy.  I do not know anything about her past, but if I had to guess I would say she has had some experience living with kids before."

Bunny's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Bunny doesn't live with a dog, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating

"I am not sure whether or not I would recommend her living with dogs. I have not seen her interact with dogs very much, and the few times I have seen it the interaction has been very bad and she has gotten aggressive very quickly. However, these interactions have always been on the leash so to give her the benefit of the doubt I would say it is possible, I just do not know."

Bunny's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Bunny lives with a cat, so her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "We have a cat, her brother, Pinball, and they are best friends.  They play and cuddle and go on car rides together.  She loves cats."

Bunny's guardian describes her as:

Very active
Barks alot
Playful
Friendly
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Fearful
Protective
Outdoor dog
Nervous
House-Trained
Crate-Trained
Likes women
Separation anxiety

Bunny's guardian describes her ideal future home:

"An ideal home would be a someone with a fenced yard or some land. Someone with experience handling very reactive dogs and someone willing to train her or pay for training. Ideally she would do best with someone who can spend more time with her and put more training into her and get her energy out."
