Bow down to our queen, CLEO!

Meet our absolutely gorgeous girl, Cleo. This absolutely beautiful girl was surrendered to us, at no fault of her own. Her original owner could unfortunately no longer provide care to her. Cleo is such an affectionate little girl and she loves getting attention from people! Cleo is an awesome mix of affectionate/needy but also independent!

Cleo has IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which is properly managed with a very cost effective steroid AND we are willing to teach anyone of how to medicate her! For these reasons, Cleo qualifies for our special needs rate!

Cleo has SO much love to give and is ready to go home with you!

Cleo is a young spayed adult, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, qualifies for our special needs fee and she is FIV/FELV NEGATIVE. If you want Cleo for your very own, please complete an application at:

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters over 21 years of age must first fill out an application for adoption. It takes at least 7-10 business days for application to be processed. Vet checks are done as well as references, and home checks.
Our Cat adoption fees are:
$215for Kittens (6wks-6Months)
$170 for Adults (7Months - 7yrs)
$95 for Senior/Special Needs

Our Dog adoption fees are:
$395 for Puppies (8wks-15Months)
$295 for Adults (16Months-10yrs)
$125 for Senior/Special Needs

All donations may be dropped off in the Front Lobby Daily between the hours of 9am-5pm.

We believe it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless cats and dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We provide spay and neuter services and any and all necessary medical care for pets.

We work diligently to educate the public on the importance of pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership, Disease control, as well as the Humane Treatment of Animals.

The Meriden Humane Society is a Private, No Kill, non Profit Animal Shelter and Rescue Facility.We are not affiliated with any other Humane Society or rescue organization. We do NOT receive any funding the state, but in fact are funded by the generous people who believe that "Life Matters".
