Chiffon is a 2.5-year-old pit bull mix. She is currently in a foster home, and this is what we have learned so far!
She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys socializing, but people are truly her favorite. Chiffon thrives on affection, belly rubs, and being part of the family. She adores children. She`s indifferent towards cats and really wants to hang with our chickens. She`s been very non-reactive towards the chickens; they do their thing, and she simply exists around them. She loves collecting eggs. She is excellent in the car and on the leash. She`s a bit of a couch hog.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who can be both your adventure buddy and your ultimate couch potato, Chiffon might be your perfect match.
Chiffon had a generous donor sponsor her adoption fee!

More about this shelter
The Tehama County Animal Care Center provides animal sheltering services for all of Tehama and Glenn Counties. We house and care for stray dogs, surrendered cats, and various other species. Adopt a new pet here!
The Tehama County Animal Care Center is owned by Tehama County and operated by the Department of Agriculture, Division of Animal Services.
Our mission is to practice and promote compassionate care of all animals, both in our care and in the community we serve.
We strive to reunite lost animals with their owners and find forever homes for animals whose owners cannot be located. We work closely with several rescues to transfer some of our animals to other locations so they can find homes in other areas. We are extremely proud of our high rate live release rate and incredibly grateful to the organizations and volunteers who make it possible!
