My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena is a really cute mama cat who was being fed outside in Oak Park. She started to appear pregnant, so she was trapped and bought into foster to have her babies.

Her babies were adopted and now she needs a home of her own. She did warm up in her foster home to one person but she is pretty shy and will need some time and patience. She is spayed, tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Due to her shy nature she would probably be happiest in a quieter home without dogs or small children.

Once you submit an application, one of our dedicated adoption volunteer coordinators will contact you.

Meet the Pet

Some of our kitties are in foster homes and about 40 are at our shelter. So be patient! We may have to schedule a visit at a foster home.

3.
Approve Application

The volunteer adoption coordinator will call your veterinary reference and your personal references. Video home visit too!
