Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**MARVIN HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Marvin is a gorgeous male Coonhound looking for a loving forever home. Pal's Place rescued Marvin from an overburdened animal control facility in rural eastern Kentucky. His long, velvety ears and puppy dog eyes pulled us in, and we knew we had to step in and save this fella! He was a stray, so we don't know much about his past, but he is estimated to be two years old and a Coonhound mix. He weighs in at 55 pounds. Marvin is a very typical Hound; he's pleasant, social, energetic, a bit of a doofus, and the life of the party! Marvin can still be jumpy and boisterous in his greetings, like many young dogs. We hope to find an active family for him and one that can help him refine his manners. Once he's exercised for the day, he is happy to cuddle up on the couch with his favorite people. He is generally quiet but can be vocal when crated or when excited. Marvin does have the loud, melodious bay that hounds are famous for! Because of this, we are recommending a single-family home environment for him. In a condo or apartment setting, close neighbors may not appreciate his beautiful hound song. Marvin is being fostered in a home with five other dogs and gets along well with his housemates. He is crate trained and does very well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Marvin is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee to the rescue is $375. Marvin is being fostered on the far southwest side of Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been submitted and approved by the rescue. For more information or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org. Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly. We cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Please do not apply unless you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into the home within three days of applying.
• Marvin's adoption fee is $375. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare him for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on adoption fees and donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other dogs like Marvin from euthanasia.
