My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sammy, a smart and spirited spayed female Australian Cattledog mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime!

Sammy is an energetic girl who lives by one simple motto: see ball, get ball. Fetch isn’t just a game to her — it’s her passion. She could happily chase a ball for hours without missing a beat. Toss a treat her way and she’ll impress you by catching it mid-air like a pro!

She’s friendly and affectionate with children and enjoys being part of the action. Sammy has done well with cats and can coexist peacefully with them. When it comes to other dogs, she can be selective, so thoughtful introductions and proper matches will help her shine.

True to her clever cattle dog roots, Sammy is bright and resourceful — so resourceful, in fact, that she can open doors with straight handles! She previously had access to a fenced yard with a doggy door and appears to be house trained, making her well-adjusted to home life.

She does have a strong instinct to chase birds (those quick little flappers are just too tempting!), so a secure yard and leash walks are important.

Sammy would thrive in an active home that can match her enthusiasm for fetch and keep her mentally engaged. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and clever companion who’s always ready for the next throw, Sammy is your girl! 🐾
