My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ASPEN (m)

BREED: Great Pyrenees

AGE: 8 months old

WEIGHT: 60-70 lbs.

This fluffy, gentle giant is such a sweet boy!Aspen has a very laid back personality, though does like to be busy, and needs things to keep him entertained. Having plenty of sturdy chew toys and bones around will help keep him away from things he shouldn't chew on. (Otherwise those foam slides you wear are realllllly tempting (LOL!).

He gets along well with other dogs and has fun playing with the resident pup in his foster home. Aspen’s still a puppy, and a BIG BOY, so we recommend dog friends sized medium (30 lbs. +) and above. If he's around smaller pups, he definitely needs close supervision as he's not quite aware of his size and might accidentally step on/knock over the smaller dogs. That being said, when Aspen is around smaller dogs, he is very sweet and gentle.

Like most Guardian breed dogs, Aspen likes to hang out in the backyard, and can often be found lounging outside with a toy, enjoying the evening. However, he likes to be where the action is and will happily follow you around the house like an adorable, fluffy shadow

Aspen is goofy and very smart. He enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch while watching TV or taking a nap (life-size teddy bear!).

POTTY TRAINING: 100% potty trained in his foster home. Has constant access to the backyard when people are home.

CRATE TRAINING: Not a fan! He gets himself worked up and will try to break out. He would prefer to be out and about. He has been given free roam of the main part of his foster home, (for up to 2 hours, while his people run errands), and has done fine as long as he has plenty of toys and things were picked up out of his way.

Aspen is kind of a dream puppy for us. We know he will be a great addition to an active home, with people who will give him a job to do. This teddy bear of a dog has it all!
