Rebecca Whelton is a true “keeper”.
Rebecca Whelton was part of our Ted Lasso Litter. 15 week old, shepherd mixes. Both her and her brother, Coach Beard, were part of a litter of 11 pups that were brought to a vaccination clinic in Cleveland, TX. Owner had an unwanted litter and was looking for assistance with getting the puppies secured with rescue and getting mom spayed. Both Straight Outta Texas and another rescue stepped up to secure these pups. Mom has gotten spayed and her 11 pups will be in their forever homes soon.
Rebecca Whelton was born with only a little nub for a tail. It really is adorable.
This is what Rebecca Whelton’s foster mom had to say about her “Rebecca (I call her Roo because she reminds me of a kangaroo haha) is hands-down, the easiest puppy I have ever had the pleasure of taking care of. She is the epitome of a sweetheart, a cuddle bug, and definitely a couch potato. She has the sweetest temperament, listens well, and has such a loving personality. It's easy to fall for this puppy within 10 seconds of being around her, she's great with other dogs as I've seen so far, and definitely would do well with a playmate. She has been around cats, however, the cat she has been around is not, particularly fond of her haha. She does well with children as she has experienced ages from three months old to teenagers. She likes to stay close to her handler and does well with other people. She's extremely friendly and I believe would fit well with any type of family. Whoever has the honor of adopting this angel will have a wonderful addition to their home.”

All of our available adoptable dogs are on Facebook, Petfinder, Adopt a Pet and our website. If a dog is no longer listed it means they have an adoption pending.
We are a nonprofit organization - all adoption fees go towards the rescue and veterinary care of these dogs in order to get them ready for their forever homes. The transport fee is an additional $225.
We are a shelterless rescue. All of our dogs are housed in foster homes to help them de-stress and get used to a home environment while they await adoption, giving us the opportunity to understand their personalities and needs.
