My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Est dob: 10/18/22, spayed, chipped, up to date on vaccines , tested heartworm negative, currently 75lbs

Meet Keewee: A Sweet, Smart Girl Looking for Her Forever Home!

Say hello to Keewee, a beautiful 75lb pup with a heart of gold—once she gets to know you! Keewee is a big girl with a gentle spirit, but she can be a little shy and reactive at first when meeting new people and situations. Keewee will need someone with experience and patience to help her build trust and confidence, especially with strangers.

Currently living in a foster home with 3 other dogs, Keewee thrives in the company of her furry friends. She loves running around the yard, playing, and engaging in fun activities. She’s also incredibly smart and enjoys puzzles, games, and training sessions. Keewee is eager to learn and has already mastered potty training, crate training, and knows some basic commands. On walks, she does well on a leash, though she can get a little overstimulated when she spots another dog.

Keewee is a work in progress and will thrive in a home with someone who has the time to provide her with the attention, patience, and consistency she needs. While she’s a great companion to other dogs, she’s still building her confidence and would do best in a calm environment. Keewee isn’t currently suited for a home with young children, and we’re not sure how she feels about cats.

If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to give Keewee the time and love she deserves, she could be the perfect addition to your family. With some patience and a little training, Keewee will blossom into an amazing, loyal companion. If you think you can offer her the home she needs, apply today!

Please consider making this adorable girl a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at : and https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1

$200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. More about this rescue

Almost Home Pet Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Katy (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fee ($200 inc. tax) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm test for dogs over 8 months of age.
