My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Lavender
Birthday/Sex: 12/29/22 F - will be spayed by rescue
Breed: GSD
Known Health Issues: Overbite. Umbilical hernia (will be repaired at time of spay).
Good with: Dogs! Cats! Kids!

Lavender is a lovely young puppy, who is eager to find her forever family! She is working on her lifeskills; crate training, house training, leash walking, etc, and doing very well!

Lavender is a mix of soft and confident. Her previous home was not able to provide much socialization in the real world, so there are many things that are new to her. She can be shy/fearful when unsure, but has a strong enough curiosity that she gets through well. Once she understands and is comfortable, she blossoms! She is just starting to explore the world, and is looking for a forever family that is ready to provide the enrichment and structure she needs to be her best self!

Lavender LOVES the water! Every chance she gets she's in the kiddie pool, or sitting in the water bucket! She'll run, and play, and splash, and make sure you are soaking wet from head to toe!

Lavender does well with other dogs, but can be a bit reactive when unsure. Continued, proper socialization (learning to ignore the world and others) will be key to helping her be a confident adult. She is independent enough that she can go solo, but would also enjoy a well matched canine companion.

Lavender has had some exposure to children, and should be fine in a home with the right energy balance. She is curious, and playful, but also independent, so it's important the children are respectful of her boundaries. She has not been exposed to cats, but with proper training, should introduce just fine.

Lavender has large bone, and is currently 50lbs at 5.5months. She will likely have a medium coat, and will need regular grooming. She has been introduced to bathing, and the blower and is doing well, but will continue to need confidence built with this routine.

Lavender is young, vibrant and full of potential! She will make a wonderful, active family companion, and is eager to find her forever home!
