My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're on the hunt for a constant adventure buddy, then look no further! Kona is a 1.5 year old Shepherd mix whose never met a stranger and is always ready to go sight-seeing. This sweet girl was pulled into rescue, after finding herself at a rural Alamaba shelter, with a fractured femur. Kona had her back left leg amputated in April and hasn't looked back! Being a tripod doesn’t slow her down one bit. Kona loves playing, hiking, and getting the zoomies. Her talents don’t stop there, she is also a champion snuggler, constant companion, and conversationalist. With her vibrant personality, you will never stop smiling at her goofy antics. Kona has a great temperament and loves to play with other dogs, kids, and adults. She's great with cats and will gently play with them. Kona is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is also crate trained and walks well on a leash, but will still pull a little when she sees a squirrel on one of her many walks.

Kona would genuinely blend in with just about any household. She is on the playful side, so having another active dog in the house and/or an active family, would be ideal. A fenced yard would be great but isn't necessary. As long as Kona gets to take daily strolls with her family, she'll do just fine!
